This year we are hosting two sittings- the first sitting is perfect for those who wish to start the celebrations early or perhaps enjoy with children 


For those wanting to join us for ‘The Main Event’, enjoy a 5 course menu while being entertained by the solo artist, Gareth Nugent, on his guitar providing a variety of different genres, including rock, pop, ballads, Irish and even some country.

The Winter Pods

The heated pods can seat up to 8 people each and diners will enjoy heating and lighting to ward off even the most bitter British winter weather.
The pods provide diners with an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing breakfast or lunch overlooking the river while sampling dishes.

Winter pods are available to book for lunch reservations Wednesday through to Sunday, also to hire for drinks receptions in the evenings.

Head Chef & Owner

Shaun Dickens is an award winning chef who has trained at some of the finest restaurants in the world, working closely with chefs of international repute including Raymond Blanc, Thomas Keller and Alan Murchison. Starting his career at the 2 Michelin starred Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, before travelling across the Atlantic to New York to work at Thomas Keller’s iconic Per se, a 3 Michelin starred restaurant. Shaun Dickens at The Boathouse was Shaun’s first restaurant; it showcased the skills and passion he has developed in the charming, stylish and elegant setting of Henley-on-Thames. The restaurant offered modern British cuisine alongside the stunning vista of the River Thames.

​Bistro at the Boathouse is a natural evolution to bring customers amazing food in a more casual style which can be enjoyed as a just quick bite on the run, or as a special occasion meal and everything in between.

Breakfast served: Thursday to Saturday  9:30am - 11am
Breakfast served: Sunday 9.30am - 11.30am
Lunch served: Wednesday to Saturday  12pm - 2:30pm
Lunch served: Sunday 12.30pm - 3:30pm (Last Orders 3:30pm)
Dinner served:  ​Wednesday to Saturday  6:00pm - 9:00pm
Closed:  Sunday night & all day Monday and Tuesday

We will be closed from January 8th 2020 through to January 15th Inclusive. Back again on January 16th
